Garlic Bacon Bits

Dude. Make this. Store it in an air-tight container for a few days. Eat, make, repeat. That's all.

Stuff:

  • Cloves from a head of garlic, sliced as thin as you can without hurting yourself
  • Liquid Smoke, 1 dash per clove (this stuff goes a long way, so be easy)
  • Pinch of sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Olive Oil, maybe 2 tablespoons (Use more if the cloves don't look sufficiently covered)

What to do with said garlic bacon stuff:

Slice them suckers up thin and toss with olive oil. Once they're coated, toss them again with the pinch of sugar, salt and Liquid Smoke. My garlic head had 7 cloves of varying sizes. I just added 1 dash of LS on each clove.

Spread the cloves out on a baking sheet or foil and bake for like 10 minutes on 375. Watch them though. You don't want them to get too brown or they'll taste bitter. They should be golden with a few darker brown edges. Use these to top roasted veggies, pizza, pasta or whatever needs some bacon garlic over-the-topness.

Salud!
